So  few weeks have passed without any posts! many apologies! but at least this time I had more of a reason other than just being lazy! So with my time as a courier running out (company downsizing/stopping the cbd part of the business) i was told that I had 2 weeks of work left. Despite half expecting this all year it still came as a shock.

This put me at an all time low, mentally. However after running into an old friend at a cx race a few weeks ago i got back in contact with a company I applied for a job with a year ago. and within the space of 2 days I had a new job, A proper adult job too, on a salary and sick/holiday pay and all that jazz.

Words cannot describe how much of an uplifting and liberating experience this has been for me. Despite the usual nervousness etc of starting a new unfamiliar job I felt like I could finally move on from the last 4/5 years of my life having rid myself of much of what defined those years.

Now anyone who knows a bit about bikes will appreciate how amazing it is to now work for the australian importer/distro of brands such as BMC, ZIPP, 3T, CHALLENGE,  ASSOS and SRAM. and as such i kind of splurged and treated myself. a new road bike, 2 pairs of zipp wheels and upgraded to the new sram cx1 groupset on the crux.

Its been an emotional last month, but I finally feel I can move onwards and upwards with my life and for the first time in a long time I feel pretty good about things.

8th in a grade last weekend. not too bad for my first race in over 10 years!

I almost forgot, I threw this guy together. Nice quick build, nothing fancy in the paint department, but a great kit!

So One of the good things about having to move back home was i could save more. which in turn led to finally being tempted by a Reaver Titan.

So after parting with almost $1000 AU i eagerly awaited for it to arrive! When i opened the box i was not disappointed! much resin, such work, wowe!

All up I put in around 70 hours into it, ( although i stopped counting around 60hrs, there was over 20hrs before it was even ready for primer!) There are over 80 metal pins in the whole thing. I pretty much followed the guide from Imperial Armour Volume 2 with regards to painting and by the end i was fairly happy with the result. This project had me scared to begin with as many of the techniques used were new to me.

So enjoy some WIP photos. feel free to ask questions etc etc.

ahhhhh another saturday night at home come at me!

So i havent posted in well over 6 months… goodness a lot of water has passed under the bridge. I’ve moved house, gone through a shitty break up, had to move back home, nearly lost my job etc etc. Certainly not where i thought i would be at this point a year ago. So here’s just a few images from the last 6 months or so!

Have been glued to this guide all week in preparation!

Finally finished - just a few touch ups to do. I struggled a hell of a lot with the decals, but I can only get better!
